20.2 Verbs with a preposition

In German very frequently there are verbs that go together with a preposition (mostly also in one word).

a) Sometimes the meaning of the verb changes totally with addition of a preposition. Sometimes the translation of the verb with preposition is a word that has nothing to do with the verb without the preposition.

b) Almost always the preposition means that the prepositions changes position in the sentences.
